Longlife Servicing

Longlife Servicing is designed for the driver that does mostly motorway miles and long journeys. Longlife servicing will allow your vehicle to go up to a maximum of 2 years or 20,000 miles between services. Vehicles that are capable of Longlife servicing have a sensor to measure the quality of the oil in the engine. When the oil quality becomes degraded the sensor will activate the service light so the vehicle will not be run with degraded oil. The downside to this is that short journeys and infrequent use will degrade the oil very quickly. This can bring the service light on prematurely, is some cases at less than 10,000 miles.

Time & Distance Servicing

Time & Distance Servicing is designed to be carried out at fixed intervals, every year or 10,000 miles (whichever comes first). If you do mainly short start / stop journeys, town driving and a total of around 10,000 miles per year you would benefit from being on time and distance servicing. Time & Distance Servicing ensures you vehicle gets a full safety check at least every year or 10,000 miles.
